Before scheduling your male breast reduction surgery, please be certain that you have talked with your gynecomastia surgeon about the procedure, the alternatives, possible complications, and realistic aesthetic results. Please be prepared to discuss the following:

  • Any medical conditions or treatments as well as any drug allergies you may have
  • All current medications, including vitamins, herbal supplements, alcohol, tobacco and drug use, including steroids
  • Any previous surgeries

Your gynecomastia consultation may include:

  • An evaluation of your general health status and any pre-existing conditions or risk factors

Before scheduling gynecomastia surgery, you may be asked to:

  • Avoid taking all Asprin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can cause increased bleeding
